Getting Started with Your Connection at Fredonia

Your Connection is Fredonia’s secure online portal for important student services like class registration, financial aid, and grades. Before you can log in, you’ll need to set up your FredoniaID (FID).

Step 1: Find Your FredoniaID (FID) and Initial Password

1. Log in to Your Connection using the credentials provided in your welcome email.
2. Click on “Personal Info”.
3. Select “View Your UserIDs and Passwords”.
4. Look for your FredoniaID, which begins with an F followed by 8 characters.
   Your initial password (PIN) will be listed too. Be sure to check the date above each table to find the correct set of credentials.

Step 2: Change Your PIN (Password)

The first time you log in, you’ll be prompted to change your PIN. To change it manually:

1. Log in to Your Connection.
2. Click on “Personal Info”.
3. Select “Change Your PIN”.
4. Enter your current PIN.
5. Enter and confirm your new PIN.

PIN Requirements:

• Must be exactly 6 characters
• Must include:
  • Uppercase letters
  • Lowercase letters
  • Numbers
  • One of these special characters: ! $ # %

What You Can Do in Your Connection

Students:

• View and accept financial aid
• Register for classes
• Check your grades
• View usernames and passwords for your other Fredonia accounts

Faculty & Staff:

• View class rosters and email entire classes
• Post grades
• View and email your advisees
• Access usernames and passwords for other accounts
